Birmingham North Barons Court Hotel

Staff made it top class. Liked · So, not a 5 star hotel by any means - but it doesn't pretend to be. Facilities are basic and only breakfast offerd. HOWEVER - the staff - they are better than any other hotel I have stayed in - and I've stopped in a lot - including very high end. The staff make an effort to get to know you and all of a sudden they are like your family. No number of words can explain how brilliant they are - from the lady that makes breakfast in the morning, the house keeping staff, receptionists etc - absolutely each and every one of them are superstars. No amount of training could ever achieve what this team have - and I am convinced it is all because of their own efforts. I will ALWAYS only ever come back here if the need arises - WELL DONE TO ALL OF THEM>.........

Booked from a friend's recommendation and was very happy with my stay. Check-in was easy and treated by some nice staff. The rooms are massive and very nicely decorated, showers nice and warm with great pressure. Bed was very comfy, and everything was clean. Room was a bit hot with the windows open but they do provide a fan (Mine had some writing on it saying it belonged to Rachel and said not to move), but I am very glad someone had as it helped massively. For the price with breakfast and parking, you really can't beat it.

Pvery nice place to stop by, the room was clean and cosy, all I needed for a couple of night. Breakfast was delicious, self service all of that for a very reasonable price

Great hotel for the price, would happily stay again. Super easy to find and very convenient with Lidl being over the road. Car park more than big enough as it stretches all the way round the entire hotel. The building looks amazing from the outside and the interior is just as good, the reception is very modern and clean. I just love the Victorian style panelling on the exterior. The staff were so polite and very helpful, our room we had been given was on the top floor but my partner being heavily pregnant meant we would struggle walking up and down all the stairs. The receptionist was very helpful and re-located us to a room on the first floor which was indeed a superb room also. Room was big in size with a very big comfortable bed in there, drawers and wardrobe for storing all our clothes during our stay there. The wardrobe was big enough to accommodate for all clothes and our suitcases too so we didn’t have to have them out on display. The bathroom was nice and clean just the same as the room, everything worked apart from the small spotlights on the headboard of the bed but that didn’t matter as there’s lamps in the room. Shower worked along with sink and toilet, all toiletries and coffee making station were stocked up and good quality. The room window was very old fashioned with the brass bar to hold it open but personally I love this, gives a bit more character to the hotel.

Booked for 1 night, the outside of the hotel is not brilliant a bit run down, but our room was tidy and clean. The bar area was bright, only bottled beer, no draft on at the time. The shower was lovely and powerful fluffy towels, too. All in all, a nice stay. Full of contractors and salesmen on the night but not a problem. Reception staff were really great.

Absolutely fantastic stay. All staff were all friendly and helpful couldn't do enough to help as we'd had a crash earlier in the day and we were all shaken. Rooms comfy and great size. Really lovely breakfast Would highly recommend

Pleasant hotel on the edges of Walsall. The rooms are a little bit tired, but worth the money being asked. The breakfast in the morning was good value and well cooked. The staff were excellent, but the night desk worker deserves a special mention as he was extremely helpful and courteous, especially as we were running late due to problems on our journey.
